We loved our stay at the Quay In a lovely location overlooking the harbour. The flat was immaculate and very comfortable. Would have no hesitation in recommending it, and in these Covid times good value for money.
Probably the best apartment we've stayed in, great location, very clean and had everything we needed. Our 2 teenage boys had lots of room to spread out and the views over the harbour/marina were amazing. Having a secure parking space gave piece of mind for car safety and made loading/unloading easy.
Have stayed on the Moorings Reach multiple times , 1st time in this house ,all good , great views from lounge on top floor . The small balcony gets the evening sun in the summer which is a bonus.
The Apartment couldnÃÂt be in a better location overlooking the harbour. We were so lucky with the weather and it was wonderful to be able to sit on the balcony and have our meals. Or just watch the world go by and enjoy the wonderful view. I really miss it! However it is up a hill or you have to go up a lot of steps. But it wasnÃÂt an issue for us.
The inside of the Apartment is immaculate and very clean. I wish I could afford to there! The kitchen is adequately equipped if you want to cook and all the appliances are well kept.
The bedrooms are at the back which is good. Because it is a working harbour and it is a little noisy at night at the front. But we used both bedrooms and we didnÃÂt hear any noise! Except the Seagulls!
I wouldnÃÂt hesitate to stay at the Apartment again.
Lovely apartment with stunning views
Central to all amenities and parking was a major plus. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our short break. Would certainly come back
The first thing IÃÂd say is the view and location are first class, the added bonus of the car parking space too, although the space isnÃÂt huge so any large vehicle may struggle.
We found the apartment to be clean but not immaculate and there were glasses and a few pieces of crockery missing! We donÃÂt really cook on holiday and go out for most meals so canÃÂt really comment on pots and pans and how the cooker was etc. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again as perfect location, but there is buzzing noise from the freezers or motors from the ice cream shop which could hinder light sleepers, and it is next door to a pub which didnÃÂt bother us but worth mentioning! The stairway on the way to the apartments are looking tired, the carpet could do with replacing! As didnÃÂt create a welcoming feel. Other than attention to detail lacking in certain areas(we do have high standards)thi...
Bay View was an excellently located apartment with great facilities and was the cleanest holiday home I have ever stayed in. We had an amazing weather week so the views were even better! The customer service was perfect as they allowed us into the apartment as soon as it was ready for us instead of 5pm and accommodated all of our individual needs. The only issue was that we did not have any washing up liquid which was mentioned on the website that was it was included. However, in the big scale of things, buying some Fairy Liquid made no difference to our perfect stay!
Perfect stay. We couldnÃÂt fault anything with our stay in Coral. We just needed a week away to relax in nice surroundings and that is what we had. The apartment is beautiful, well positioned with an amazing view over Brixham. It has good quality appliances
and plenty of cooking utensils if you wanted to cook. We didnÃÂt want to cook and would recommend booking restaurants in advance during Covid times. The bed was really comfy and the linen and towels were good quality. The parking was close by although we didnÃÂt need to move our car for 5 days. We had the basics left out for us including milk, biscuits, coffee, tea, sugar and a bottle of white wine which was really nice.
We had perfect weather and the sunsets over the harbour were spectacular.
I would definitely recommend this apartment.
The arrival instructions and directions were excellent. The car parking in the Quayside Hotel carpark was useful, even though it was a short walk away. The view of Brixham harbour from the apartment was fantastic and ever-changing. The apartment was very modern and comfortable and a nice place to spend time at the end of each day out.
Really enjoyed our stay at Sundeck. It had everything we needed and was presented to a very high standard throughout. Great location. Recommended.
The first time in brixham the veiws were to die for .The heated pool was great the cute cove minuites from the apartment with its little beach shop searving hot drinks snacks and icecream and toilets there too cove rocky so bring beach chairs ,water clear lots of yaughts moored up in the sea you could have been in the south of france with the wonderful veiws .There is a coastal walk or road walk or taxi for 4 pounds 15 to 20 mins coastal walk is amazing looking at the fishing boats further into town you will see the moored yaughts plenty of shops and resturaunts and few bars lovely for couples of young families there are lots of beaches to drive too and lots of places just a short drive away cockington village is a must . Dunlin 3 was home from home its was a fab apartment big terrace great location safe place to stay alarmed and all the complex is gated will definatly be back every ye...
Third visit to the Cove, great location with gorgeous views. Always very clean and friendly staff when booking
Enjoyed our stayed in Curlew 3, could not find any fault with this apartment. Had everything we could have needed and more. Great location, and use of club house opposite was a bonus too.
We stayed as a family of 3 (with a small toddler) for a week and found Curlew 5 to be perfect for us, small and cosy but more than enough room for a family our size. The apartment is set in a very peaceful and quiet security gated complex, we felt very safe throughout our stay. Views out to sea are superb and there is a nice big balcony to sit out on of an evening. Kitchen is compact and well equipped. The walk into brixham is about 15 mins but be aware it is a very steep walk there and back, just something to note if you have a pushchair like we did. We will come to Brixham again and would happily stop at Curlew 5 or any other apartments at the Cove.
We really enjoyed our holiday staying in Plover 2. The apartment was really comfortable with beautiful sea views. The walk into Brixham along the coast path was very easy and we enjoyed some walks down to Fishcombe Cove and Churston Cove. All in all a very enjoyable stay!
Lovely stay, in a beautiful apartment with amazing sea views. Very comfortable beds, and everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable.
Had a lovely holiday, with mostly warm sunny weather, my grandson loved the outdoor pool and was in there every day. Enjoyed walking to Brixham every morning and had pleasure of seeing dolphins on a couple of the days. Will definitely return
Lovely complex, been there three times now, stayed in a different apartment each time. Sandpiper was a little smaller, not so much storage room etc. A couple of issues but they got rectified as soon as reported.television reception is quite poor, one evening we had no reception at all. The lock on the patio door can be a little tricky to close. The beds especially the main double is extremely creaky, so, not good for a restless sleeper.these issues have been entered into the ÃÂcommentsÃÂ book at Sandpiper.
Shame the pool wasnÃÂt open, but location is superb.
Spent a week here in July with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. Accommodation was a very good standard with everything you may need - home from home. Clean, comfortable and well appointed - toilet on every floor and 2 bathrooms with great showers or a bath. If you want to cook then everything you'll need or plenty of places to eat out or take away. Wi-fi was great and 3 TVs for those who like to watch, DAB radio, hairdryers.... as I said everything you'd have at home. Binoculars came in useful just watching all the boats going in and out. Stairs are a little steep so may not be suitable for those with any mobility issues.
Location overlooking the harbour was spectacular and a very short walk into main town. Lay in bed in morning with a cup of tea just looking out the big window and all the harbour activity. Parking very close buy. Plenty to do in and around Brixham.
From the outside it looks a reasonable size but itÃÂs an absolute Tardis of a place with masses of space. Lots and lots of character and many quirky finishing touches with a distinctive nautical theme. The kitchen was amazing with a great big cooker, including a wok burner. Usual equipment provided, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave, etc. etc. but all seemed much better quality than you normally find in a holiday property.
The location, with its panoramic views of the harbour and easy walking access to all the delights of Brixham, is superb. Watching people struggle to park anywhere near to their accommodation made us very thankful for the spacious, integrated garage.
I think my son summed it up when we first arrived. ÃÂThis is the best place weÃÂve ever stayed in.ÃÂ
The Pirates Rest, as with all properties located in King Street, offers great views of the inner harbour and is the perfect base for all local pubs and restaurants - perfect for my Wife and I as we usually stay at the Quayside hotel. The property was clean and tidy when we arrived. The week was nice but there were a few niggles:
- The kitchen tap is in a poor condition and needs an airator or replacement nozzle to help water flow smoothly;
- The fridge leaks water all over the kitchen floor - I slipped on the water the first morning we were there and so it is a hazard. Having read previous reviews, it would appear that this has been a problem for some time;
- The top oven grill keeps cutting out while in use;
- The extractor hood above the gas hob is filthy and dripped green liquid fat all over the fresh fish I was cooking on Friday evening;
- The washing line in the very small courtyar...
Everything perfect, cottage, location and weather! Brixham a delight. Love the Torbay area. When the weather is perfect who needs to go overseas!
A lovely weeks holiday in a great location and well sailed holiday home. The views are stunning, and the house has everything you need. The steps are challenging, but we were clearly advised when booking. Take the slope down St. Peter's Hill, and the 16 or 17 bus back up (then you walk DOWN to the back gate. We would return again.
What a view! Walking into the house for the first time you really are wowed by the view which makes this property one of the best weÃÂve stayed in. We enjoyed our stay with plenty of space in the house for a family of 5
Yes parking is a bit of an issue but we got lucky being able to park just down from the house (neighbours were not happy as we parked outside to load the car though)
Brixham has lots to offer with lots of great eating places within 10 minutes walk - the steps kept us fit but mean the location isnÃÂt ideal for people with mobility issues or young children.
Would definitely recommend this property
nice apartment with what must be one of the best views in Brixham there are 68 steep steps up to it so a bit of climb i am 73 and did them for 2 weeks we have booked it for 3 weeks next year then will have to have a rethink
Just arrived home from a week staying in this apartment and it was the best place by far we have stayed in around that area. The views out to the breakwater were stunning. The apartment was easily a 5* and we will be back next year for sure. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice peaceful relaxing stay and the owners John and Emma are two of the most lovely people we have met.
We stayed for 6 nights in June and had a great time. The house was clean, tidy and in a good location to walk to the beach or into Brixham. It was just two of us so we had loads of room too. We loved the view of the sea and across to Torquay from the bedroom window, which was a pleasant surprise. The area immediately around the house was quite quiet when we stayed, with plenty of parking. It's worth pointing out that the walk into town involves a fairly steep hill, which is probably the case for most places in Brixham, but might be a challenge for some. Overall I'd really recommend staying here!
We had a wonderful few days at The Mizzen! Absolutely stunning view out the lounge window- I could have sat there all day and night watching the boats come in and out. Perfect location with a few minute walk to the main harbour, but tucked down a quiet lane (tip- if you access the cottage from the road at the top there are a lot less steps to carry your bags down. Free parking limited but possible to find). We enjoyed getting take away seafood from simply fish (can even ask for muscles which arenÃÂt on the menu) sitting in the harbour or on breakwater beach watching the sunset. You can also get fresh seafood from the fish market below the cottage! The walk along the coast to Paignton was beautiful with some picturesque bays. Also really enjoyed exploring Dartmouth (can catch a ferry from Kingswear) and Dittisham (can catch a ferry from Dartmouth). Overall a beautiful and comfortable pla...
Fantastic stay in Brixham with Brixham Holidays, as always customer service was excellent which is why we rebooked our next holiday with them whilst there! Great views and lovely apartment - thanks so much can't wait to be back
We stayed at the DragonÃÂs Nest at the beginning of June 2021. The weather was good, so we made full use of the gardens, with those amazing views of the harbour, as well as the lovely barbeque area. The house itself was charming and looked just as it does on the 3D Tour.
We had read the previous reviews, so knew there would be some challenges with regards to the steep stairs, restricted heights, and the number of steps to climb to the top level of the garden. Admittedly, with my two grandchildren, aged 2 and 4, this was quite a challenge, and they did ask to be carried up and down quite frequently!
In the kitchen there was plenty of crockery, pots and pans, cutlery, washing up liquid and cloths. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for each bathroom, so I would suggest bringing more with you if you are a large family or group.
The shortage of bed linen was a slight problem...
Not much more to say than Driftwood, due to it's location and the lovely big windows that have been installed, has THE best view over Brixham you could find.
The house is lovely, the cleanliness is spot on and the three floors all give you fantastic views of the harbour.
The garage is 'interesting' to get into if you've got anything bigger than a Fiat 500 but we found you could always park along the road nearby if you weren't up to a 30 point turn ;)) Brixham is a really welcoming place and the food is amazing.
Brilliant trip - would do it again!!
Really great property with everything that is required for a great holiday. Booking process excellent
We had a fantastic stay at the Watch House. The house is lovely and the view from living room window is stunning. We often just sat and watched. The house is very well equipped and the supplies of milk, tea etc were really appreciated. The only negative point I would make is that road is extremely narrow and difficult to pass due to parked cars. We found it tricky to negotiate and both the SainsburyÃÂs man and the lady who brought us take away declined to attempt it .
Perfect location, lovely place to stay. On arrival thought town would be a good walk away but just around corner from house there are steps that bring you right into the town with restaurants, shops and the sea.
If you need to know anything the team at brixham holidays are on hand.
Will definitely be going back to Brixham and booking with brixham holidays.
We rented this 1 bedroom apartment as an addition for family members and wasnt disappointed, it has everything you need for a holiday. The apartment is well stock with all amenities it also has a lovely wet room.
