A cool, sleek architect-designed holiday apartment. This well presented 2 bedroom house sits at the end of a small terrace in this small 1970's architect designed development in a quiet residential area just above Berry Head Road. It's surrounded by gardens with modern sculptures and lots of free onsite parking spaces.

Marine Court offers a cool & sleek interior design and makes a handy base for a family or 2 couples to explore the area from. It is a 15 minute walk into the centre of Brixham with its many shops, cafes and restaurants. Brixham's famous free open air swimming pool and lido is just below the property off Berry Head Road (seasonal opening).

The accommodation briefly comprises: Double glazed entrance porch leading to open plan kitchen / dining area / lounge. Dining table & 4 chairs, luxury fitted kitchen with built in fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Pass through servery. A spacious dual aspect lounge features a large squishy leather sofa and 2 more seats, TV and Bluetooth music system. A door leads to a large front paved terrace with storage lockup containing outside dining furniture. Stairs from the lounge lead to the upper floor, master en-suite bedroom, built in wardrobes, dual aspect windows with sea glimpses & en-suite shower room, additional family bathroom with bathtub and shower over, 2nd bedroom with built in wardrobes.

The property is spacious & well proportioned with lots of natural light and benefits from full gas central heating to make it a cosy snug during the winter and spring months.

Please note that change over day is Friday for peak summer weeks. Flexible start and end dates are available during the rest of the season. Short breaks of 2 nights or more are available outside of the peak summer weeks.

Location is the main advantage to this property being close to coastal walks. The property does not have a very welcoming feel. A few pictures on the walls would help. Sofa is impossible to sit on comfortably. Boiler in cupboard in second bedroom is not the best location especially as it fires up during the night when neither heating or water is on.

Lovely quiet location with beautiful views particularly from the main bedroom window. Fully equipped to cater for all your needs. Location is ideal if you want to be a little bit out of the town and have ample parking on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Brixham town centre and Berry Head. A couple of things to mention firstly as everyone has mentioned in their reviews there was no information pack. A simple folder with some booklets on appliances and leaflets on the area and what is on offer would be helpful. Although there was a washer/dryer a clothes airer would've been useful, as when we stayed the weather was amazing and we had no means to hang out clothes to dry. And finally the settee someone did mention back in their review in June that they found it hugely uncomfortable, we can confirm that it is extremely uncomfortable and it needs to be replaced. Everything else in the accommodation is in good order and the only thing that lets it down is the settee. We would definitely recommend this property.

This is a lovely house, in a great location in Brixham. Its 1960s minimalist decor is unusual for a holiday rental - there are no pictures of seasides and no bunting; the only concession to nautique was a silver boat sculpture in the sitting room. It is a comfortable house with pretty much everything you need. The beds are VERY comfy (albeit the bed in the main bedroom is a bit squeaky). As with everywhere in Brixham it's at the top of a steep hill, but that's how you get the fabulous views of Torquay and Paignton from the main bedroom! There are also sea glimpses from the sitting room. It's very handy for Shoalstone, Breakwater and Berry Head, and it's only 10-15 minute walk down to the harbour. (The walk up the hill is hard work but the views on the way up are worth it. There's a bus that runs every hour from the harbour to just outside the house if you don't fancy the hill, or a taxi is about £5.) There were a few negatives. Firstly, don't try and open the big kitchen window, and be gentle with the coathooks. There wasn't the usual welcome pack folder, just a frame with the wifi password and bin instructions - it would have been useful to have the manuals for e.g the microwave, coffee machine, etc. On the plus side, if you do have problems the housekeeper is nearby and will come round quickly to help. Having said all that, we enjoyed staying at Marine Court, and would stay again - it was good value.
